Will Steffen, Earth system scientist: Tipping elements and investor strategies!

Welcome to meet internationally recognized Earth System Scientist Will Steffen as he visits Stockholm.
Will Steffen is an Earth System scientist who studies the future pathways of the Earth System in the Anthropocene, including both climate change and changes to the biosphere and their interaction. He has a particular interest in so called ”Tipping Elements” in the Earth System – their dynamics, their vulnerability, and the role of humans in pushing these elements towards or across their tipping point.
Will Steffen is an Emeritus Professor at the Australian National University and a Senior Fellow at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. He is also a co-author to the recent research by Swedish scientists at Stockholm Resilience Centre on how investors are implicated by Tipping Elements, for example, through their portfolios.
