There are plenty of investor initiatives around climate commitment. PAII, SBTI, NZAOA, GFANZ…. you can easily drown in the alphabet soup!
In the autumn, Swesif hosted a roundtable discussion where some asset owners and managers who have made public climate commitments discussed their thoughts, strategies and challenges in this area. “There are no ready answers but we can’t wait for it. We are formulating targets and strategy as best we can based on existing knowledge.”
As a follow-up to the roundtable, Swesif invited members on 18 January to a webinar where several Swedish actors shared their perspectives on climate commitments. We were also visited by Eurosif, who gave a summary of how the challenge is being tackled in other parts of Europe.
The aim of the webinar was to share experiences, give tips and inspiration both to those who have already made climate commitments and to those who are thinking of doing so.
Presenters were Federica Casarsa, Policy Officer, Eurosif, Emilie Westholm, Head of Responsible Investments and Corporate Governance, Folksam, Charlotta Dawidowski Sydstrand, Sustainability Strategist, AP7 and Caroline Sundin, Sustainability Analyst, Swedbank/Robur.
The discussion was moderated by Anita Lindberg, former Chairman of Swesif and Senior ESG Analyst, Skandia Kapitalförvaltning.
