Summer is approaching rapidly. Maybe you’ve already logged out and started your vacation, or perhaps it’s just around the corner. Either way, Swesif will take a short break from events during the summer. However, if you need to get in touch with us, we are available as usual via both LinkedIn and email.
It has been an eventful first half of the year for Swesif. During the spring, we organised ten events where we had the opportunity to meet both familiar and new faces. A warm welcome to those of you who are new members or participated in one of our events for the first time. We have introduced two new event formats: Member Perspective, where members had the chance to share more about their work on a specific theme. This term, we heard about how some of you are working with SFDR. We also held our first Roundtable Discussion on the theme: Sole Sustainability Officer. You will soon be able to read more about this topic. We also covered topics such as CSRD, sustainable investments in real estate, increasingly green financial supervision, unexpected gender differences among very young savers, and finally, at this year’s summer mingle, a brief summary of the outcome of the EU elections from a climate perspective.
In March, we held the annual meeting, where the board, among other things, presented a proposal for updated statutes. These were voted through at the extraordinary meeting on June 5th. For those who were unable to participate at these times and are curious to read more about it, a summary and explanation are available.
In April, we were pleased to announce that one of Swesif’s board members, Cecilia Cisana, was elected to the Eurosif board at Eurosif’s annual meeting and general assembly. We look forward to reports from Brussels and will provide more information about the collaboration after the summer.
In June, our Norwegian neighbours hosted this year’s NordicSIF conference in Oslo, where three of our board members participated. For those interested in reading more about the events and discussions at the conference, a detailed summary is available.
In the autumn, seminars will continue, and you can already save a few dates under “Upcoming Events.” The calendar will be filled with additional interesting themes and formats after the summer.
Swesif’s chair Jennie Ahrén shares her thoughts on the upcoming fall:
“I look forward to continuing our journey with Swesif and developing our platform for sustainable investments. The fall will offer many exciting events and new opportunities for our members to network and learn from each other.”
Take care this summer!
Best regards,
Swesif’s Board
